Material Planning
Job Description
- This role involves developing accurate material plans, analyzing demand forecasts, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material planning strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Analyze demand forecasts and adjust material plans accordingly to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Develop and maintain accurate material plans to meet production schedules, ensureing the availability of materials at the right time and in the right quantity.
- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders such as production planners, SQE and procurement team, to ensure timely material availability & requirements.
- Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline material storage and distribution.
- Identify and resolve materal shortages, excess stock , and supply chain bottlenecks.
- Generate reports on material status, usage, and planning efficiency for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and industry regulations.
- Any ad-hoc tasks as per assigned by manager.
Qualifications Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven working experience of at least 3 years in material planning or supply chain management.
- Language: Fluent in both Chinese and English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
