This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving SMT manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance, repairs, data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules, procedures and checklist for SMT FOL, EOL, & Offline machines.
Determine optimal maintenance frequencies based on equipment type, usage, and manufacturer recommendations.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track maintenance activities and equipment history.
Perform regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Monitor equipment performance and identify trends that may indicate potential problems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, both mechanical and electrical.
Perform repairs and replacements, ensuring equipment is restored to optimal operating condition.
Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to optimize maintenance schedules and minimize disruptions.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, technicians, and other stakeholders regarding maintenance activities and equipment status.
Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and procedures.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Process Owner of Maintain Equipment attending to Internal Audit, Certification Body audit and Customer Audit.
Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and develop solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Participate in projects to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
Train and supervise junior maintenance staff.
Provide guidance and support to ensure they are performing their duties effectively.
Any ad-hoc tasks as per assigned by manager.
Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Open to fresh graduates and candidate with up to 5 years of relevant experience in SMT production, equipment maintenance, or electronics manufacturing.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing.
Familiarity with equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance.
